This year for Better World Day we cleaned and beautified Rood Bridge Park. It was amazing to see all students excited about helping the community.

Ms. Edwards was so kind to bring ladybugs to release and observe in our insect garden. We spent A LOT of time in the garden observing their behaviors and the 'wonder' of what the ladybug could do. I
BEAUTIFUL WEATHER ALERT!We were so lucky this past week to have the most perfect weather for fieldwork! Not too hot, not too cold...so amazing to be outside with my kids and observe them learn so much more! We've been loving our expedition about insects and specifically focusing on pollination. This is a new case study and I'm learning along with my kiddos. It was been a pleasure to watch them learn and grow with me and how much information they absorb (never ceases to amaze me). Enjoy these photos!
It was a wet day at Hoyt Arboretum. We focused mainly on pollinators and why insects are important pollinators. It's been a challenging few weeks with the weather, not much action with insects coming out. The kiddos persevered through the rain and cold. Definitely our biggest challenge of the day.
Beautiful days...We love beautiful days in Oregon especially fieldwork days. Our experts were knowledge, kinds, and so patient. We were all excited to be learning outside and digging in for insects. Always amazing to observe and hear the kiddos ask questions that I never think of!
Be ready for a ton of posts. First Grade will be busy the next two months! XOXO Miss Tasha |
