I hope you are all enjoying the winter break. The kids I have been integrating the iPads more often in our day to provide additional phonemic awareness and composing or decomposing of numbers. OSMO is an app with tangible pieces that are used on the iPad. Since there are only 6 bases for the school we collaborate with all classes who use OSMO to provide alternative ways of learning. The kiddos are very responsible when using this tool and here are some picture to show how they are using it See you in the new year
XOXO Miss Tasha With "No-School" November ending and as December rolls in, it's crazy to think we have been First Graders for 56 days now. November went by quickly and our first fieldwork to OMSI was a blast! We started our second expedition on Sun, Moon , and Stars and the kids are loving it! HoWL Bots Unite! If you haven't been in our hallway recently, our kids have worked really hard with Ms. Shannon in art to create these awesome HoWL Bots. The further our use of recycled materials, students individually created these HoWL Bots to remind them of integrity, to have compassion, and to remember that we are a team/family/crew. Below are sneak peaks of these awesome bots! Check them out soon! They'll be up until the end of December. |
